INTRConnect 2026: Voltaire’s Top 3 Conference Sessions for 2026 P&C Trends

Voltaire spent three days with claims, operations, and technology teams comparing notes on what changed in the last year.

For this post, we’ve highlighted some of our favorite sessions at the show that tied into larger trends in P&C insurance.

1. INTRConnect session: AI in Insurance: Beyond the Hype

Speakers: Jon Miko, President of Managed Repair at Alacrity, and Kristie Stegen, Chief Brand and Communications Officer at Cotality; John Tovar, Group President, ServiceMaster Restore; Christina Lucas, Global Director & Market Leader, Insurance, Google; Adam Kostecki, Founder and Principal Consultant, InsurTech Innovations

The message was practical. AI is no longer a side experiment or innovation lab project. It belongs inside daily underwriting and claims workflows.

The speakers focused on applied use cases: fraud assessment, faster  claims cycle times, and decision support that actually ships. That matches what we see across carriers entering 2026.

Many insurers tested AI, but far fewer embedded it where work gets done.

This session really resonated because it’s where Voltaire lives. Voltaire helps with that by providing actionable AI adjusters actually adopt – without rip-and-replace implementation work.

2. INTRConnect session: When Innovation Meets the Human Touch

Speakers: Tom Drewry, Associate Vice President at Nationwide; Jason Allen, Director of Claims, Auto Club Group AAA; Steve Marcum, Senior Vice President at Cotality; Rick Arnold,  Director, Customer Success PLNAR

This session cut through theory. Automation helps, but people still carry trust, judgment, and accountability.

The classic example is no matter how automated a claims process may be, a policyowner may be upset and want the comfort of speaking with a human expert. Claims is, and always will be, a human process and not just determined by data. Voltaire helps adjusters keep time for human touches by spending less time on policy language lookups.

3. INTRConnect session: Predictive Claims: Beyond the Guesswork

Speakers: Gina Reyes, Vice President of Claims at Openly Insurance;  Pete Piotrowski, Chief Claims Officer at Hippo; Garrett Kurtt, CEO, OneClick Code; Mikhail Palatnik, Senior Vice President, Product, Cotality

This session focused on triage before boots hit the ground. Data-driven routing and early insight now shape outcomes within hours of a loss.

That speed is necessary, because catastrophe losses are no longer rare spikes. Hurricanes, wildfires, and secondary perils have reset expectations.

Annual catastrophe losses now cluster at levels once considered extreme. Carriers respond faster, but that speed raises internal pressure.

How Voltaire Can Help Carriers in 2026

We talked with claims leaders about familiar themes: fewer experienced adjusters, heavier catastrophe swings, and tighter timelines. Claims correspondence continues to be a bottleneck for carriers.

If your carrier is still using templates, missing regulatory correspondence deadlines, or ignoring that adjusters are copying-and-pasting from old letters, contact us for a different way.
